After completing a True Pacifist Run after a Genocide Run, if you choose "I wish to stay with you" while on the surface with Toriel: within four seconds after she leaves the bedroom, Frisk would turn in the bed to face the screen, only to reveal Chara's face with red eyes.
This is the Neutral Route. This is the most important route in the game. This ending occurs if a Genocide Route (killing everyone), or a True Pacafist route (befriending everyone) have not been met, or if you on your first playthrough did not kill anyone as access to the True Pacifist Route.
Go and find a metronome, either online or if you're a super cool music nerd you might have one lying around. Set it to 60 (bpm), or as close as you can to 60 and let that run before you start the race. (It may help to mute Undertale to help you focus. You do you.) Once you have accepted the race, hit the z key every time the metronome clicks.
