Clearfield, the county seat. Clearfield County was formed by the Act of Assembly by the second Governor of Pennsylvania at the time, Thomas McKean on March 26, 1804. The county was created from parts of the already created counties of Huntingdon and Lycoming.
As of the census [4] of 2000, there were 410 people, 158 households, and 114 families living in the township. The population density was 17.4 people per square mile (6.7/km 2).
