AJP Motos is a Portuguese manufacturer of enduro and off-road motorcycles producing single-cylinder. AJP Motos was founded in 1987 by brothers António Pinto and Jorge Pinto' in Penafiel, northern Portugal. Beginning as a workshop preparing off-road motorcycles, the company later diversified into manufacturing complete bikes.
The motorcycle was outfitted with a 250cc air-cooled two-stroke, single cylinder engine which was ready to use on dirt roads. The bike had several off-road features including: an aluminum skid plate under the crankcase, Serrated Footpegs, turn signals with supported by rubber mounts.
MX racing bikes have often been used as platforms for building enduro bikes. [1] This was partially driven by the conversion of MX from 2-stroke to 4-stroke engine designs to comply with regulatory trends, as well as the development of hybrid competition races such as Enduro-X. [1] Compared to MX bikes, enduro and dual-sport bikes traditionally had a much higher proportion of 4-stroke motors.

For 2007 the RR models were upgraded with a removable clutch sub-cover, upgraded front fork settings, and a redesigned rear swing arm.
The sidecar class left the series to form its own championship after 1996. In 2002, 990cc bikes replaced the 500c bikes and the class was renamed as MotoGP. [2] 660cc bikes replaced the 250cc bikes in 2010, with the class rebranded as Moto2. [3] Starting 2012, the Moto3 class (250cc one cylinder) replaced the 125cc class.
