Candace Groth Fleming (born May 24, 1962) [1] is an American writer of children's books, both fiction and non-fiction. [2] She is the author of more than twenty books for children and young adults, including the Los Angeles Times Book Prize-honored The Family Romanov and the Boston Globe–Horn Book Award-winning biography, The Lincolns, among others.
In 1986, she received a Candace Award for Trailblazing from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. [8] In 1987, Thomas suffered with Achilles tendinitis in both ankles and struggled at the U.S. Nationals, placing second to Jill Trenary. [9] She rebounded at the World Championships, finishing a close second to East German skater Katarina Witt.
YouTube Live was a 2008 event streamed live on the Internet from San Francisco and Tokyo. It was launched November 22–23, 2008.
