Full Circle is an American soap opera that aired on CBS from June 27, 1960 to March 10, 1961. [1] The half-hour series starred Robert Fortier, with Dyan Cannon, and Jean Byron as his romantic interests. [2] [3] It was the first American soap opera to be broadcast live-on-tape from Hollywood. Note: On CBS, both Search for Tomorrow and Guiding Light expanded from 15 to 30 minutes on Monday September 9, 1968. They were the last two 15-minute soap operas airing on television, ending a 22-season era of 15 minute soap operas which had begun with the first ever soap opera on television, Faraway Hill, on the DuMont network in 1946.
The Newcomers was a late 1960s BBC soap opera which dealt with the subject of a London family, the Coopers, who moved to a housing estate in the fictional country town of Angleton. It was broadcast in bi-weekly half-hour episodes from October 1965 until November 1969.
The Clear Horizon was never a big hit with the viewing audience as a whole, even in the 1960–1961 season. The low ratings of the show - its 1961-1962 ratings were 3.5, putting it at the bottom of the daytime ratings list - ensured its permanent cancellation in June 1962, at which point Anne and Roy would be reunited.
