HTC sync software comes in 2 flavors, I was using HTC sync version 3.3.10 (installation exe: htc_sync_setup_3.3.10.exe) under Windows V7 and that worked fine. SInce upgrading to W8 Pro, it didn't work anymore. I tried re-installing, separate install of HTC drivers and installing under W7 compatability mode. Zero result.
