50 Years – The Best Of is a compilation album by Australian rock band Cold Chisel, released on 16 August 2024 through Universal Music Australia.The album was released to commemorate the band's 50th anniversary and to promote their upcoming Big Five-0 tour, which will take place from October 2024 to January 2025. In August 1981 Cold Chisel began work on a fourth studio album, Circus Animals (March 1982), again with Opitz producing. [ 2 ] [ 3 ] To launch the album, the band performed under a circus tent at Wentworth Park in Sydney and toured heavily once more, including a show in Darwin that attracted more than 10 percent of the city's population. The Live Tapes Vol. 5 is a live album by Australian rock band Cold Chisel, released on 11 December 2020.The album was recorded at the Bondi Lifesaver on 29 February 1980. The recording were captured on two multitrack tapes, after 43 shows over 56 days.
In 2007, Australian singer Katie Noonan recorded the song for the Cold Chisel tribute album Standing on the Outside. It was also included as a bonus track on her album Skin, released in the same year. In 2013, Australian singer Taylor Henderson recorded a version for his eponymous debut studio album. [11]
