Dean Israelite (born September 20, 1984) is a South African film director, writer, and producer, best known for directing the found footage film Project Almanac (2015), the 2017 reboot of Power Rangers, and the 2019 reboot of Are You Afraid of the Dark.
He has also written or produced such films as Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, [1] Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Project Almanac, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Wonder Park and Without Remorse.
It was also used in trailers for the films Horrible Bosses 2 (2014) [25] and Project Almanac (2015) [5] and the video game Battlefield Hardline (2015). [7] It appeared in the crime thriller television series The Blacklist. [13] [25]
