Within the Metro-North system, the New Haven Line is the only line with operating branch lines. These three branch lines are the New Canaan Branch, the Danbury Branch, and the Waterbury Branch. The New Canaan Branch is electrified, and uses the same Kawasaki M8 railcars as the main line.
