introducing kindergarten ideas to Victoria Emmeline Pye (13 December 1861 – 20 April 1949) was an Australian educationalist, teacher and lecturer. She was one of the first Australians trained in kindergarten ideas and she opened the first one, run by the state of Victoria, in 1907 in Brunswick.
In 1874 Blow opened a training school to accommodate the in-demand kindergarten teachers. Those in training spent mornings volunteering in the kindergarten classes and afternoons and weekends studying Fröbel's ideas.
