After working fine for a long time, one or more buttons on your TV remote stopped working. You can still control your TV by getting up, trudging across the room, and pushing the buttons on the front or side of your TV. This, of course, is no fun at all. The problem could be with the remote failing to send commands to the TV.
My remote sensor isn't working properly. It's not the batteries. Both my cable remote and tv remote doesn't turn the tv on, off or control the volume . When I turn it on manually, my cable remote will change channels and control everything but the volume and on/off functions so it has to be the remote sensor on the tv.
You must put the remote in the correct mode bypressing the corresponding component key (TV,DVD, VCR, AUX, SAT·CBL) so the remote knowswhich component you want to operate. Remove any obstacles between the remote and thecomponent. Make sure to aim the remote at the IRsensor on the component. Make sure the batteries are fresh and are ...
To reset your TV you will need to do the following: Unplug your TV and leave it unplugged for 60 seconds. While unplugged, press and hold the power button on the TV for 30 seconds—and we mean a full 30 seconds ("one-one thousand", "two-one thousand", etc.). Wait another 30 seconds—a more casual 30 this time—then plug the TV back in.
My Bauhn remote has gone stupid. On/off not working so I turn on TV manually but remote still crazy. Source button turns source on but ok or exit do not work. Source can only be cancelled by epg button. I will have a universal remote but can't find correct codes. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks, Peter D
This video shows how to open the remote. Take note of the update where it says to use an old credit card to try and open it. My personal experience with opening other similar remote controls is that a credit card will cause less cosmetic damage to the case than a sharp bladed tool and definitely less than a screwdriver.
To view the firmware version in the TV ‘s menu, go to Settings > Support Software > Update > Try now. The latest firmware version is 1335.0 as of 26.11.2019. If your TV is not this version here’s a link to the download. It is a rather large download but maybe it will resolve your problem IF the TV is not at this version.
Linda, Reprogram your remote to your TV, you can google search your remote for instruction if need be. Old batteries can cause corrosion and make the batteries not have good contact and not supply adequate power. If that doesn't work, I would purchase a universal remote and test it. If you did not want to buy a new device, some of the newer Samsung phones have Infrared blasters that allow you to use them as remote controls.
We checked the remote with a camera, and it is putting out the signal. A universal remote also doesn't work during the time the Vizio remote stops working, so it appears to be the TV not receiving the signal properly. The buttons on the TV still work it when the remote is in one if it's non-working times.
