Waterloo is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, in Merseyside, England.Together with Seaforth, the two setlements make up the borough's Church ward.The area is bordered by Crosby to the north, Seaforth to the south, the Rimrose Valley country park to the east, and to the west Crosby Beach and Crosby Coastal Park.
Continuing south, to the west is Waterloo station. To the east is the Union Jack Club in Sandell Street and, further on, the well-known and historic Old Vic Theatre to the south of the corner with The Cut. Also located even further south in Waterloo Road on the west side is the headquarters of the London Ambulance Service.

When the line was extended south towards Liverpool on 1 October 1850 a level crossing was installed at South Road and the engine shed was relocated to the east side of the line just north of South Road. [1] [8] The original station site became a goods and mineral depot, there was a goods shed and a five-ton crane.
