There seems to be a lot of confusion on who built the Deere 100 baler. We never brought the 80/80 to the states so our (Krone NA) involvement with the 80/80 or the Deere 100 is very minimal. The first baler we marketed here in North America was the BP88/128 which was available with a single or double tie system.

145 HP tractor will be overkill big time. It would be an older baler maybe able to find a picture at tractorhouse.com just pick small balers then john deere there you will see the a list of john deere balers pick the model you want to check out. The biggest complaint I heard from both was that pickup sorta ran down hill towards the front, so you had ZERO floatation when you hit a rock.
Going to look at a 2006 JD 582 baler tomorrow. Owner says it has 6000 bales on it. Just want to know about parts availability, cost of upkeep, and overall reliability.
