Woodcraft moved into a warehouse and corporate office after the success of its initial printed ads which led to creation of its catalog.
Lechmere (/ ˈ l iː tʃ m ɪər /, LEECH-meer) was a Massachusetts-based chain of retail stores that closed in 1997. At the time of its closing, it had 27 stores, including 20 in New England. The chain offered electronics, appliances, and various household goods. It also had locations in New York and the Southeastern United States.
As of 2016, four locations remained, all in Massachusetts: Bickford's Grille, in Brockton, Burlington, and Woburn, and Bickford's Family Restaurant, in Acton. On December 30, 2018, the Brockton Bickford's Grille closed its doors after Tommy Doyle's Pub & Grill bought the restaurant building to expand their business.
The store was soon expanded to 7,500 and then 10,000 square feet, and was replaced in 1962 with a 45,000 square foot unit directly behind it. A second Zayre store opened in September 1956 in the Roslindale section of Boston, a much larger 39,000 square feet. Within a few years, Zayre stores would average 70,000 to 90,000 square feet. [5]

Lechmere Warehouse was a railroad stop in Woburn, Massachusetts.It served the Lowell Line of the MBTA Commuter Rail system. The station, located in northwestern Woburn away from the residential areas, primarily served reverse commuters working at the adjacent warehouse of the Lechmere department store.
