The Walter P. Chrysler Museum was a car museum in Auburn Hills, Michigan, featuring historically significant vehicles designed and manufactured by Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, Jeep, AMC, Nash, Hudson, and Rambler. It was in operation from October 1999 through December 2012, with a brief re-opening in 2016 before closing permanently in December 2016.

The Dodge Factory, or "Dodge Main" as it became known, occupied 67 acres (0.27 km 2) on the edge of the village of Hamtramck, which is surrounded by the city of Detroit. [6] Plant 4, on Conant Avenue, was separated only from the main plant structures by a railroad right-of-way, which was also the boundary line between the two cities.
When Michigan Stamping was sold to Briggs Manufacturing Company in 1920, Briggs made bodies there for Plymouth, Ford, and others. Chrysler Corporation bought Mack Avenue and 11 other plants from Briggs in 1953. It continued to use it as a stamping plant for the nearby Dodge Main factory, Lynch Road Assembly, and Jefferson Avenue Assembly plants.
