Downsview Park (French: Parc Downsview) is a large urban park located in the Downsview neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.The park's name is officially bilingual due to it being federally owned and managed, and was first home to de Havilland Canada, an aircraft manufacturer, and later was a Canadian Forces base.
VELD Music Festival (commonly referred to as VELD) is the largest annual electronic dance music festival in Canada, [1] held at Downsview Park in Toronto, Ontario.Since its inception in 2012, the festival has had a number of notable acts, including deadmau5, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Steve Aoki, Zedd, Illenium, and Tiesto.
The park was formerly used by the Canadian Armed Forces, as CFB Toronto. The park houses several recreational facilities, including practice facilities for the Toronto FC. Downsview Park has also hosted several large public events, including a Papal Mass, attended by 800,000 people on 28 July 2002.
