Sarkar is a series of Indian political crime thriller films set in the world of Marathi politics and crime, co-produced and directed by Ram Gopal Varma.The first part Sarkar released in 2005, the second part Sarkar Raj in 2008, [1] [2] [3] and the third installment Sarkar 3 in 2017.

Sarkar 3 (transl. Government 3) is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language political crime thriller film directed by Ram Gopal Varma. [2] This is the third installment of the Sarkar franchise and the continuation of the events of Sarkar Raj.
Sarkar is an unofficial remake of The Godfather and spawned two sequels: Sarkar Raj, which was released on 6 June 2008, and Sarkar 3, which was released on 12 May 2017.
