The Marcelo Fernan Bridge, also known as the Second Cebu–Mactan Bridge and locally as the Second Bridge, is an extradosed cable-stayed bridge located in Metro Cebu in the Philippines. It crosses the Mactan Channel , connecting Mandaue in mainland Cebu to Lapu-Lapu City in Mactan Island .
The route consists of A.C. Cortes Avenue, the Mactan-Mandaue Bridge, Maximo V. Patalinjug, Jr. Avenue and the Basak–Marigondon Road. It is iconic for being the first highway to link Cebu and Mactan Island, the next two being N841 and Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway .
The Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway, which was completed in 2022, connects the town to Cebu City in mainland Cebu. This is the third bridge connecting mainland Cebu to Mactan Island, after the Mactan–Mandaue Bridge and the Marcelo Fernan Bridge, both of which connect the cities of Mandaue in the mainland and Lapu-Lapu City in Mactan.
The route was assigned the number N841 during the addition of National Routes in late 2016. An underpass and road widening project for the route's road has been undertaken to ease the traffic congestion caused by the many vehicles traveling to and from Mactan–Cebu International Airport, but it has instead caused massive amounts of inconvenience as the project remains unfinished.
