Willamette Valley (/ w ɪ ˈ l æ m ɪ t / wi-LAM-it) is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) which lies in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. The AVA is the wine growing region which encompasses the drainage basin of the Willamette River .
The Van Duzer Corridor AVA lies entirely within the established Willamette Valley AVA and covers approximately 59,871 acres (24,229 ha). When the petition was submitted there were 17 (now 18 [3]) commercially-producing vineyards covering a total of approximately 1,000 acres (400 ha), as well as six wineries (now 9 [3]), within the AVA.
