The Hotel Pennsylvania was a hotel at 401 Seventh Avenue (15 Penn Plaza) in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, across from Pennsylvania Station and Madison Square Garden. Opened in 1919, it was once the largest hotel in the world.
The Café Rouge (as well as the rest of the interior and exterior of Hotel Pennsylvania) was designed by the architectural firm McKim, Mead & White.It measured 58 feet by 142 feet (17.7 × 43.3 m), with a ceiling height of 22 feet (6.7 m), making the Café Rouge the largest of its kind anywhere at the time of its creation.
Chestnut Hall, formerly known as Hotel Pennsylvania, is a 10-story building composed of 315 apartments as well as retail space in University City, Philadelphia. It is owned by Apartment Income REIT Corp., which is owned by funds managed by The Blackstone Group. It is primarily occupied by university students.
