He was a bombardier of the 15th Regiment of the Royal Regiment of Artillery who became known for the Changi Murals he painted at a chapel during his internment in Changi prison in Singapore during World War II.

Aw Tee Hong (simplified Chinese: 欧 世 鸿; traditional Chinese: 歐 世 鴻; pinyin: Ōu Shìhóng; May 29, 1931 – October 10, 2021) was a Singaporean artist who was known for his oil paintings of the old Singapore River, as well as for numerous public sculptures themed towards Singapore heritage, like the marble relief titled Singapore Poetry found in Tanjong Pagar MRT station.
