The present St Philip's Church was formerly the church hall. St Philip's Church is a Church of England church in Weston Mill, Plymouth, Devon, England. The original church was built between 1912 and 1913 and was demolished for housing in 2014. The adjacent former church hall of 1981 has been the present St Philip's Church since 2012.
An Episcopal mission as organized in Durham, North Carolina in 1878 under the leadership of Rev. Joseph Blount Cheshire Jr., rector of Chapel of the Cross in Chapel Hill. [1] [2] The congregation, originally made up of thirteen people, met with Cheshire monthly until it was formally established in 1880 as St. Philip's Church, named after Philip the Apostle. [1]

Trinity Church was elevated to cathedral status in 1944. St. Philip's Church, a predominantly African American parish on High and West Market Streets, was destroyed in a fire in 1964. Two years later the two congregations were merged. The Very Rev. Dillard Robinson was elected dean in 1968.
Key Memorial Chapel, formerly the parish church of Saint Philip the Apostle, is a historic Catholic chapel located at 150 E. Sharpe Street in Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. It is within the Diocese of Charlotte. It was built in 1898, and is a small one-story, two bay by four bay, Late Gothic Revival-style brick building.
The brick church was referred to as the Moravian "Negro congregation" until December 1913, when at a lovefeast service it was given the name St. Philips by Bishop Edward Rondthaler.
