Saint-Lambert Elementary began in 1875 as a one-room school building that was created in Saint-Lambert as a model school. Size increases due to enrollment and changes in the laws concerning education in the province of Quebec changed the school several times over its lifetime.
When it opened in 1967, the district served schooling in all grade levels in the school boards of Chambly-Richelieu, Greenfield Park, Lacolle, Longueuil, Pinehurst-East Greenfield, Rougemont, St. Hubert, St. Hyacinthe, St. Johns, and St. Lambert. In the St. Hilaire and Richelieu Valley school boards the district served grades 7 through 12.
Commission scolaire Marie-Victorin (French pronunciation: [kɔmisjɔ̃ skɔlɛʁ maʁi viktɔʁɛ̃], CSMV) was a French-language, school board operating in the Province of Quebec, Canada and serving the municipality of Longueuil (boroughs of Le Vieux-Longueuil, Saint-Hubert and Greenfield Park), Brossard and Saint-Lambert.
