For reference, I've listed below all articles from the toolserver database wiht titles beginning "American Samoa" I'd expect to see in the dump. This does indeed show more titles (51 vs 25) - your grep has picked out the first 25 the titles. Possible causes - is your dump file incomplete, perhaps due to a (4GB?) file-size limit on your machine ?
