Umm well I love my Rock-Ola M1. But they are not the "rarest" M1. I think they are one of the most well made M1 Carbines. But the rarest of the WWII M1 Carbines is generally thought to be the all original M1A1 Paratrooper model made by Inland with the folding stock.

Hello Brothers and Sisters in Arms. I recently acquired an M1 Carbine. I am trying to determine the correct "born on " dates but I am not having any luck finding my reciever serial number in the data banks. My carbine receiver is serialed # 112457 over "U". My research to date says Underwood receivers did not start with such a low serial.

I have a Rock-Ola M1 Carbine serial 188xxx with adjustable rear sight and flip-down safety. The stock has S-HB stamped in the sling slot. How can I tell if this is all original or a rebuild? Also, are these weapons really going for up to a grand? I bought this gun many years ago from a pawn shop I worked at. Thanks in advance for your replies!

Rock-Ola was a prime contractor for the M1 Carbine, and in addition to supplying other prime contractors with component parts, produced M1 Carbines roll-marked with its own name. Listed below are most prime contractors who produced arms for World War I, World War II and even as late as beyond the cease fire of the Korean War.

Being a Rock-ola will still bring a very slight premium over most other makers, even with it being rebuilt post war. IMHO, value in nice condition would bring $800-850 for the Carbine, and if your carrying case is original WWII, those bring near $100. Most magazine pouches bring $10-15. Hope info is helpful!

I am looking to find out how much my M1 30 cal carbine is worth. It is a Rock-ola stamped barrel and trigger assembly, with a standard products stamp on the rear hold down plate. The sight is stamped with H.I. and the stock (both pieces) stamped with S.J. It has the original sling and canvas holster.
