I managed to make it work, but the screensaver files (and the DLL mentioned) must be in another folder, running it directly from c:\windows\system32 displays a black screen. To make it work, you browse to that folder right-click on the SCR file and select Install. The screensaver selection window will popup, just press OK and do not touch anything.
