Go to Settings and click sign in below your name at the top. it will convert your local account to a microsoft account and force you to log in with that from that point on. partially sign in to a microsoft acccount. Allows you to keep your local account. Go Settings --- Accounts -- Email & Accounts.
The app in question is a download of the Microsoft Rewards on Xbox app that can *somehow* run on Windows, probably because of UWP or something like that. The thing is it's made to run on Xbox, and on top of that this version of the app is almost 4 years old, so idk if it's going to work for you.
I did a completely fresh install of Windows 11 Pro because new SSD and the previous drive was upgraded from Win10. On the new install I do not have the Microsoft Rewards icon in the quick launch task bar. I had it there on the previous Win11 install but cannot remember how I got it there. I've searched Reddit and Google and can't find how to do it.
It gives a pop-up and a sound when 1 of these are completed or an Achievement is earned, even if the XBox app for Windows is not open. I had a problem before where I was not getting these pop-up on my laptop. Turned out there is a dedicated setting in the Windows Settings. Called Gaming there you have to Enable Game Bar to get the stuff.
I found a way to install the Microsoft Rewards Xbox app on a Windows 10 computer. Open Settings app and go to "Update & Security" then on the left sidebar go to "For developers" and click on Developer mode.

Windows Phone Bing Rewards app to be discontinued. Let's be fair though I have an LG G3 and Microsoft has already discontinued the rewards app on Android and iOS they're using the browser. I found out the other day when I tried to install the Microsoft Rewards app on a buddies phone and it wasn't in the store.

Go to the news tab. Click each news catagory and subcategory until you hit your 150 point limit. For mobile: I do my mobile searches through pc using Google Chrome.
