07-20-2016, 09:43 AM. First time poster here but wanted to see if you good folks can take a look at my wiring diagram for a HHH Strat that I'm building and tell me if you see any issues. I'm using the Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbucker set (SH-2N and SH-4B) for the neck and bridge PUPs and a JB Jr single coil sized humbucker for the middle PUP.
Re: Wiring Diagram for Strat - Tone for Bridge Pup Here are a few wiring diagrams in schematic form. The first is standard Strat wiring, the second shifts the rear tone control from the middle to the bridge pup, and the third is like the second except the two tone controls each have their own capacitors rather than sharing one.
Use this diagram to wire each pickup for series/parallel, then wire the hot outs (the white coming off the bottom left lug) to a Tele 3-way switch. You'll get: P1 - Bridge humbucker series or parallel. P2 - bridge and neck pickups in parallel with eachother, but the individual pickups either series or parallel.
Re: Wiring Diagram/Advice Needed for Strat There shouldn't be. The pot is a no-load pot being used in a blend circuit. It's not a blend pot specifically. It could be used as a tone control or a volume control also. But in a blend circuit, you want a no-load pot, otherwise you would always have a little bit of both pickups in the mix.
The wiring for how the blender pot is connected to the 5 way switch needs update. Per the Lindy Fralin webpage regarding blender pots, the two wires from the blender pot should connect to the A side of the 5 way switch (i.e. to the same lugs that the hot wires from the Bridge and Neck pickups do).
Re: HSH Super-Strat Wiring Advice / Diagram Help. neck tone and bridge tone is the easiest to add. I'll draw something out more professional but pretty much the approach is similar to a 1 volume 2 tone H/H setup. firstly connect the ground pots the same way. the push pull can be either pot, pick which works best for you.

So unless I hear otherwise in the next day or so, I plan on following this plan, as described by MikeS: 1. Ignore the instructions from Seymour Duncan support*, and instead, wire the guitar exactly as described here:
Re: Strat with TBX wiring diagram Thank you, both! I'd be finished and playing by now, but didn't have the right solder. It's on the way & I can't wait to hear this combination of Antiquity Surfer neck & middle and Texas Hot Custom Bridge. Had to wire it differently per Lew, swapping the neck & RW middle pup and then reverse wiring the bridge.
Re: Wiring Diagram for HSH Strat, 3 push pulls Awesome, thanks for your help. I think I've got my head around it, just wire the humbuckers as per the P-rails, add the wiring for the bridge pickup mod to the on switch on tone pot two and wire as per standard hsh 5 way switch.
Does anyone know the correct wiring for a STK-S7 Vintage Hot Stack Plus for Strat pickup which has a black, red, white and bare ground to an Obsidian Wire Electronics? The paperwork that comes with the Seymour Duncan STK-S7 pickup shows two possibilities: 1. a. Black and Bare Wire to Ground b. White to Hot c. Red taped off
