I have a friend that likes to work on starship deckplans. He isn't a professional and he doesn't use premium software. I'm pretty sure all he uses is MS Paint. Anyway, I though I'd share his most recent works.
Having a deck plan for even something like a star destroyer is neat, but is about the equivalent of having a map of a small city with floor plans for every single building in the city. It's a lot of work and a pain to keep track of. As much as I've looked, I've never been able to find actual deckplans for very large ships.
The "only one Bridge/Engineering deck" restriction is not a great fit for the genre either unless there are unseen "emergency bridge" and "secondary engineering" decks. Large vessels often duplicate critical functions, even on modern day wet-navy ships, and often even when they aren't meant to go in harm's way.
The latest Kickstarter from 0-hr.com presents a trio of small ships including a torpedo boat inspired by the MCRN patrol destroyers from the Expanse. The campaign includes poster deckplans, miniatures, and digital documents & images. It wraps up in a week and should begin shipping almost...
I believe that that would be the pdf version of the Classic Traveller games that includes all the deck plans for the Azanti High Lightning. It is about 35 million cubic feet (what Traveller calls 70,000 displacement tons at about 500 cubic feet each) and the deck plans are complete. Marc Miller is still selling them on CD-Roms and thumbdrives.
21 new starship frames including living and zoomorphic ships, each with sample deck plans to inspire your own designs or to be used as-is. 47 new expansion bays including arcane options to give your starships spell abilities. Dozens of upgrades to all the various starship systems from AI to weapons. Complete rules for space stations and ...
Anyone know a good source of starship plans? I'm trying to set up an aliens type one-off game with the players as space marines stranded on a ship with a dangerous alien race hunting them. I'd really like to find a pre-made map of a large multi-deck ship. Something the players can get lost in...
Macross II Deck Plans Vol. 1 Macross II Deck Plans Vol. 2 Macross II Deck Plans Vol. 3 All three of these books are very good - especially if you like the designs of the Macross/Robotech starships. Volume 3 is the one with the SDF-1 (complete with city) deck plans and the 3-mile long command ship is in Volume 1, IIRC (I'm at the office, book is ...
Ship plans Here is a revised command deck, a cargo hold, and a 3rd deck. I am doing these so those who don't have the time or just need one on the fly can grab and copy. Because the only plans i found were star wars or star treck though there ok but most have the feel of one or the other. So i am making some kind of generic ones.
Sure, but I never planned to create for 5e, I had been creating starship deck plans for Starfinder RPG, and some of my fans suggested I do deck plan for Spelljammer - that was the impetus to do it. Otherwise I never planned to go to 5e.
