61. Nov 29, 2011. #1. so the way i see it is this, buying used leather footwear is not recommended because the insole of the shoe would have molded to the previous user (s) feet. so it is better to buy a new pair of shoes, or if you have to, buy a very slightly used pair, to minimize the feet imprint problem. so do care about the imprint issue ...
10 things you should never buy used By Liz Pulliam Weston - MSN Columnist "Saving money by surfing the Internet for bargains is delightful, but you can take it too far. Shoes. Poor-fitting shoes can cause everything from bunions to back problems, so don't buy footwear that's already been molded by someone else's tootsies.
0. Jan 2, 2010. #4. Most of the well used shoes are poorly maintained (shoe trees rarely used and polished once a year). I buy used shoes to wear in situations when the shoe can be damages and it will not matter much. At $30-80 if I get three or four wears out of the shoe I am happy.

The Es fit like a slightly wide D according to most who have the shoes. As to length, some English shoes you size down one whole size, with others size down 1/2. It all depends on the maker and the last.

In general, AE shoes are good quality and can be reconditioned if necessary. And leather soles are better looking than rubber soles in my opinion.

I used the forum & google site search and didn't find a lot of info. Other than eBay and SF classifieds, where do you look online for great bargains on used...
