Senior Member. I looked at a Henry single shot at Brantley Marine in Vidalia last week, it looks and feels really good. It is different than TC's. The barrels are not changeable. They also have two of the new lever action rifles they are very similar to the old Browning BLR. Sep 11, 2018.
I bought a new Henry Single shot in .308 in April. A month or so before gun season I started sighting it in. I had loaded 40 rounds using Aguila cases and Hornady SST bullets . Cases were all sized, primer pockets cleaned and all the normal stuff. I had Win primers, they were pretty old but always kept under good conditions and I have never had ...

This weekend I was able to purchase three custom rifles of TC's . Rem. Model 1917 chambered in 300 H&H , Rem model 300 Express in 25 Krag and a Rem model 700 in 6mm Krag. All have heavy barrels and are really awesome weapons. Last edited by a moderator: Sep 16, 2013. Oct 4, 2013.
Hence, my liking of 450 BM. A lever action also appeals to me more than the 350 did as an AR cartridge. (Yes, I am aware the 450 BM is an AR cartridge too. It came out before 350L though and I was already fully invested) Also, the Buckhammer is designed using .358 bullets which the 1.8” case length capacity will be able to utilize better than ...
shockmastermike said: mossberg made one years ago also that loaded in the stock. but ejected from above unlike the browning. i believe it was a 151 m. I know that the Model 50 and Model 151 M fed through the buttstock, but I thought it was through the buttplate, like a Remington Nylon 66.....not through the side of the buttstock like a Browning.
I think a lever action .22 magnum would be great with a low-profile short and compact scope, maybe a 1.5X to 4X variable power. $100 is a really low budget for a crosshair scope, though. A red dot is OK if head shots at 50 yards aren't something you want. A red dot scope with old eyes will give accuracy about on par with iron sights and young eyes.
Hello everyone, I too google searched TC Kennon and found your form. This weekend I was able to purchase three custom rifles of TC's . Rem. Model 1917 chambered in 300 H&H , Rem model 300 Express in 25 Krag and a Rem model 700 in 6mm Krag. All have heavy barrels and are really awesome weapons.
These are awesome rifles, and have proved to be really accurate! All will shoot a 1" MOA group with the right ammo. Here in Louisiana, the CVA rifles, in .35 Whelen, are approved as primitive weapons, with the scope of your choice. lol Many members opted for a lesser expensive H&R rifle, but the accuracy, doesn't seem to match the CVA.
Burris scopes --low power fixed magnification ones --are common on African dangerous game rifles because they're known to be reliable. Burris has a series of scopes called the MTAC that are reasonably priced in the $400-$600 range. NRA, GCO, and GSSA member. Highpower rifle competitor. Nov 28, 2019.
