I have seen that in the US you can look up receipts online, or put the 12 numbers in the search bar at walmart.com to see the item but that doesn't work in Canada. An example is SL LS OTO might make sense if you just bought something, could maybe figure it out, but if you aren't holding the product in your hand it's pretty non-sensical.

At least you have the e-receipt option. My Walmart app doesn’t give my the e-receipt whether I pay there or order grocery delivery. I can’t get an e-receipt on iPhone or laptop. I can only get a detailed list with totals in my laptop to print out for taxes. Or I’m told to go to store to print out receipt.
The debit/credit card should act as a receipt too if the purchase was made within the last 90 days if you need to make a return. It won’t work for proof of purchase. Reply reply
From there, go to Account, Purchase History, View details, then click the teeny Print link that (on my phone) is either directly underneath the order date (desktop) or, on your mobile browser's Desktop view, centered under the Order#. You'll end up with a full page, detailed receipt pdf vs a regular receipt, but it works for me.
Try using Chrome as your browser. Are you looking at your purchase history on walmart.com? It's divided between walmart.com and pickup and delivery (or general purchases versus the ones made through OGP/AKA online grocery pickup). The store can also help if you go to customer service with the date and the credit card and hopefully the amount.

They can use the last 4 digits of your card, the date from your credit statement, and the upc of the item you are returning to find your receipt. Yes, they have to look for it manually as far as I'm aware, so an approximate date/time, register #, purchase total, purchase method, items on the receipt, anything to help filter through the thousands upon thousands of receipts.
