Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IIT Bhubaneswar) is a public technical university established by the government of India in 2008, located at Kansapada village, Khordha district, Odisha, India. It is located 24 kms south of Bhubaneswar and 4 kms from Jatni but is named after Bhubaneswar.
Sudhhasatwa Basu (born 1963) is an Indian chemical engineer. He is a former director [2] of Council of Scientific Industrial Research - Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT) in Bhubaneswar, India, and is professor of chemical engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, adjunct professor, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai and professor of AcSIR.
NISER started shifting to the new campus during the summer of 2015. The new students joined the permanent campus at Jatni and academic activities for the session 2015-16 started from the permanent campus. A separate 3-acre (12,000 m 2) campus near the Bhubaneswar city centre is also contemplated. [7]

In 1951, the four-year Post-lnterscience course, B.Chem.Engg. course replaced the earlier B.Sc. (Tech) course in Chemical Engineering and the intake was increased from 15 to 20. In 1958, the number of seats for the B.Chem.Enng course were further increased to 60. [3] The Departments of Chemistry and General Engineering were started in 1952.
