  2. Cheaper CO2 attempts for sodastream - Homebrew Talk

    www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/cheaper-co2-attempts-for...

Sodastream says they still own them, not the buyer. I may have a paintball gas fitting leak. I first used it with the back panel removed and didn't notice a leak, but should examine it again. Co2doc says sodastream uses poor quality seals which he can replace. BTW, i noticed the inside was all lightly frosted looking.

Location. San francisco. Aug 20, 2011. #7. I received a soda stream as a gift before I started brewing and loved it. Only really used it for water. Then I made a my first fermented beverage, a wild fermented mead. After a month or so, I tried it still and thought, "Hey, let's carb this stuff up and try it!"

  4. Soda stream to carbonate beer? - Homebrew Talk

    www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/soda-stream-to-carbonate-beer...

Soda is carbonated to at least twice the pressure of beer. And the mess factor. You would do better buying a carbonator cap, pouring your beer in a 20 oz soda bottle and getting one of the keg chargers and a small co2 cartridge. chill, add a quick burst of co2 until bottle is firm, shake, sample, repeat if needed.

  5. SodaStream for force carbonation? - Homebrew Talk

    www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/sodastream-for-force...

I have a SodaStream, and for water, it works great. You add the flavor after you carb it. If you do it backwards, it foams and fizzes and goes everywhere in a blaze of sticky mess. My mum tried carbing her wine one time in hers (we both have them because we love them). She spent the next hour scrubbing every kitchen surface.

  6. How well does a Sodastream work at 60 psi of CO2?

    www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/how-well-does-a-sodastream...

I want to supply my Sodastream from a tank in another room, through the wall (with appropriate adapters, of course). The Sodastream is designed to run directly off tank pressure, but I don't want to run 25 ft of 2000 psi gas line through my wall; would rather supply it from my primary regulator, which goes up to 60 psi.

  7. Better syrup attempts for sodastream - Homebrew Talk

    www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/better-syrup-attempts-for...

Sodastream Cosmopolitan syrup: Actually it might be another similar cocktail mixer, NOT intended for alcohol like their newly announced product. I had a BBB coupon and they had stopped carrying Sodastream natural flavor cola (are they insane, cola is the most popular flavor but the non natural flavors taste putrid!).

  8. Sodastream co2 adapter for kegging - Homebrew Talk

    www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/sodastream-co2-adapter-for...

I just recently found these Kegland Oxebar kegs and ordered two 4L to use on my 1gal batches. I found a video showing how folks are using the sodastream co2 cylinders with these, but the adapter wasn't really shown or explained. Anyone got a link to purchase the correct one?

  9. Easy Rootber using Soda Stream & Rainbow Extract

    www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/easy-rootber-using-soda...

On the Sodastream bottle, I used a sharpie to mark the 870 ml water fill line. On the Sodastream bottles, the higher of the two indented ring lines near the top is the one liter line. After 870 ml of seltzer is prepared, the soda syrup can be added until the volume rises to the one liter line.

  10. Any experience carbonating with Sodastream? - Homebrew Talk

    www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/any-experience-carbonating...

Sodastream warns the user not to carbonate something besides plain water, but that's just to cover their butt. It's very simple to do if you're careful. If you try to carbonate flat beer the same way you carbonate water, you're going to have a geyser, so just don't do that.

  11. Trouble filling SodaStream tank - Homebrew Talk

    www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/trouble-filling-sodastream...

When it's under #3, I can only get the SodaStream tank to take about 100g of co2. Here's my fill process.. I freeze the SodaStream tank for 30 min. Then I connect SodaStream tank to #10 tank using the adapter and flip it upsidedown. I slowly open the valve until I can't hear the CO2 filling anymore. Then I weigh it to see how full it is.
