    Shot this buck in Hoosier National Forest. My stand was overlooking a small clearing where 3 gullies met at the bottom of 3 ridges. There was a series of scrapes leading down one of the gullies up to thick cover where I jumped him a few days previously. This is my question, I have spent quite a bit of time scouting this area.

    Hoosier National Forest is a National forest which means clearcuts can be done and replanted with native grass, forbs, etc for elk. That is what Missouri did on Peck Ranch in their core elk range. The habitat can be changed to allow for native grass.
