The University of Faisalabad (TUF) is a private university located in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan. It was established in 2002 under the auspices of Madina Foundation, a not for profit philanthropic organization in the light of its founder and the late Chairman Haji Muhammad Saleem's vision of "Industry, Service, Education".
The university is the first multi-campus university in Pakistan, having five modern campuses based in different cities. [3] These campuses are located in Chiniot-Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar, providing a standard educational environment and recreational facilities to 11,000 students, out of which 500 are faculty members and a quarter is covered by female students.

In 2004, Government of Pakistan directed Government of the Punjab to set up a campus of University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore in Faisalabad with a future plan to upgrade it into a full-fledged university. In the same year, it was inaugurated by the then President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf.
The university began as an intermediate college in 1934. It was promoted to a degree college in 1944. Postgraduate disciplines were introduced in 1985. The educational institution was established as a primary school in 1897 in the present building of Government College for Women, Karkhana Bazar, Faisalabad.It was promoted to high school and intermediate college in 1905 and 1924, respectively.
