Now go to the menu and to footswitch, then EXP1, then preset settings. In the settings choose pedal wah in the blue box then hit the bottom layer button to get to the settings. Leave volume off, express mode to "amp/FX", parameter to "pedal". Now set the heel to 2.2 and toe to 8.5.

But if you have a very fuzz unfriendly wah with no buffer, stick your buffer after your fuzz but before your wah. That's where it works for me, at least.

Messages. 1,937. Sep 27, 2021. #1. Does anyone use a physical wah-wah pedal directly into a digital interface? I use amp sims and VST fx to record guitar parts. The only thing I can't find "digitally" is a convincing wah-wah pedal. I was going to just buy one but I thought I'd ask first if anyone uses this setup? I'd obviously be stuck with ...
I was going to put a regular wah pedal in front of the HX Effects; I have an RMC I really like, it has that nice, throaty Vox/SRV vocal-like sweep to it. But my understanding is that with the HX Effects, I can get an expression pedal, and I can use it for either wah or volume (correct me if I have this wrong), which would be pretty nice.
There's also a trim pot in the Sunface. From what I understand, if you adjust it counter clockwise, it may get along better with your wah. This adjustment will change the sound of the sunface as well, but there may be a balance to be found. You could also add a buffer to your wah. Both foxrox and area 51 make them.

So I recently took the wah off and now have more real estate for other pedals (enter the EHX POG2!). Plus, my wah was heavy.

However, Kemper does not have an equivalent adjustment, so getting a converted Dunlop-style pedal to behave correctly there is far more difficult.
