Transformers: Cyberverse was first announced during Hasbro Media and Investor Day in August 2017. The first season, titled "Chapter 1", would air in 2018, while a second season, titled "Chapter 2", is set to air in 2019. The series puts more emphasis on characters. The third season, Kingdom, has an approval rating of 90% based on reviews from 10 critics. The site's consensus is: "Transporting the Autobots into a strange new world, Kingdom brings the War for Cybertron to a satisfying close with great morphing action and a delightful nod to the Beast Wars."
The final episode ended on an open note, should the series prove popular enough to continue, which it did. After several battle in the season one finale, Mandroid eventually uses his super-weapon that shuts down every Cybertronian; Mandroid immediately dies from energon infusion terminal cancer (he readily accepted his timely death and gladly moved on afterwards).
The black hole was now consuming many planets, and Cybertron was next so Optimus had sent Jetfire to Earth to scan some vehicles. Jetfire brought back vehicle designs for all the Transformers, so they scanned them and began transporting to Earth when a space bridge opens up. Out comes Vector Prime, who calls himself the Keeper of Space and Time.
The story takes place in 2005, twenty years after the events of the TV series' second season and serves as a bridge to the third season. Decepticon villains are more menacing, killing Ironhide, Ratchet, Prowl, Brawn, Windcharger and Wheeljack without hesitation. Optimus Prime dies following a battle with Megatron.
