Women in Scientific and Engineering Professions is a 1984 book co-edited by American authors Violet B. Haas and Carolyn C. Perrucci. It was published through University of Michigan Press . The book was reviewed in several academic journals.
In 2016 the Women's Engineering Society (WES), in collaboration with the Daily Telegraph, produced an inaugural list of the United Kingdom's Top 50 Influential Women in Engineering, [1] which was published on National Women in Engineering Day on 23 June 2016. [2] [3] [4] The event was so successful it became an annual celebration.

Leelamma George was born on 30 March 1923 to Saint Thomas Christians parents A. K. and Annama George, in Kerala. Her father had been educated in England. She started school in Trivandrum at the aged of six and graduated from high school after only six years; she gained high distinction in her intermediate examinations, the level before university, at the age of 14.
