Algonquin is popular for year-round outdoor activities. There are over 1,200 campsites in eight designated campgrounds along Highway 60 in the south end of the park, with almost 100 others in three other campgrounds across the northern and eastern edges.
Camp Pathfinder is located on Source Lake, in Algonquin Provincial Park, just more than a mile away from Highway 60. Source Lake is an access point to the Algonquin Park canoe route system. There are no campsites on Source Lake. There are, however, a few residential cabins and the camp itself on the lake.
Rock Lake features a campground with 121 sites at the north end of the lake which is accessible from Highway 60 via a gravel road. [3] Algonquin Park also maintains about 20 designated campsites around the lake that are accessible by boat as well as several portages to neighbouring lakes. [4] The lake is popular with canoeists and kayakers.
The campground has 45 campsites without electricity. [4] Facilities are considered to be primitive compared to other campgrounds located in the park. The central park store is the former Deputy Chief Ranger Headquarters that was built in the 1930s by park rangers, Claude McFarland, an expert stonemason, and William Mooney, a skilled carpenter.

Brent today is essentially a recreational camp site with some park services and is an access point to the interior of Algonquin Park. [3] Brent operates seasonally with no permanent population. The village of Brent consists of 17 seasonal dwellings 14 of which are located in the east end (the rail yard) and the 3 in the west end (logging mill).

Camp Northway, formerly Northway Lodge, is the oldest summer camp for girls in Canada, and overall Canada's fourth oldest summer camp. [1] It was founded in 1906 and relocated to Algonquin Park, Ontario, in 1908.
