The Backyardigans is a CGI-animated musical TV series created by Janice Burgess.It was written and recorded at Nickelodeon Animation Studio.The series first previewed on the Canadian network Treehouse TV with the episode "Pirate Treasure" on September 11, 2004. [1]
In 2001, a Nick Digital branch at Nickelodeon Animation Studio began producing visual effects for Nickelodeon's animated series. The same year, Nick Digital produced the second Backyardigans pilot (featuring the same synopsis as the later episode "The Heart of the Jungle").

The song is set to a bossa nova style. [1] [2] It is sung by a group of children, which makes unclear what some of the notes sung are. [3]The lyrics are fairly simple and talk about the group of friends being castaways (per the title), lost with no way to go back home.

It looks like the producers used the Uniqua-first order, though, with the show's official website and their character guide. I was just adding that the producers' order aligns with the approach the creator took, with Uniqua called the "main" character/leader, but the sources are more important as we can easily use them to back up the ordering.
