Little Aston Golf Club is an 18 hole members golf club located within the Little Aston Park Private Estate in Sutton Coldfield, England which has hosted a variety of leading professional and amateur tournaments including the Schweppes PGA Close Championship and the Brabazon Trophy.
Little Aston is located in the southeast of Staffordshire.. Little Aston is contained within four corners, formed by local landmarks: Blake Street Station rail bridge in the east, by Little Aston Golf Club's grounds to the west, the Little Aston Severn Trent sewage treatment works to the north and the Rosemary Hill Road/Thornhill Road traffic island in the south.
The event was held at Little Aston Golf Club in Sutton Coldfield, Staffordshire from 12–17 June. The field consisted of the defending champion, Percy Alliss and the leading 11 in the 1938 Harry Vardon Trophy standings. As in 1937 the Harry Vardon Trophy standings were based on the average score in major stroke play events during the season.
