Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed [a] (born 27 July 1971), also known as Sajeeb Wazed Joy [b], is a Bangladeshi businessman and politician. Wazed Gazi was born in 1931 in Barasat, British India.His ancestral home is in the Dhalbaria Union of Satkhira District.Gazi's father, Soleman Gazi, worked for the Calcutta-based Jessop & Company, and thus, Gazi spent his childhood in Calcutta.
On that day, some disgruntled army officers carried out the assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. His wife Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, his sons Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Jamal, and Sheikh Russel were killed in the attack on their residence.
