Scott McLeod was born in Davenport, Iowa, on June 17, 1914. He played football at Grinnell College and graduated with a B.A. in 1937. After college, McLeod sold advertising for the Des Moines Register and Tribune. In 1938, he took a job as a police reporter for the Cedar Rapids Gazette.
MacLeod began his professional career in 1979 with Oji Seishi in the Japan Ice Hockey League.In 1983, he joined the Salt Lake Golden Eagles for the Central Hockey League's final season of play, where he won the league's scoring title, [1] and then stayed with the team for two more seasons in the International Hockey League, winning the IHL's scoring race both seasons.

It was built about 1790, as a single-pile, two-story, seven-bay, structure with a facade of rough-hewn coursed limestone ashlar. A projecting tetrastyle Tuscan portico was added in 1929 to the central three bays.
