Sarasota (/ ˌ s ær ə ˈ s oʊ t ə /) is a city in and the county seat of Sarasota County, Florida, United States. It is located in Southwest Florida, the southern end of the Tampa Bay area, and north of Fort Myers and Punta Gorda. The Sarasota Classic Car Museum is located at 5500 North Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, Florida, United States. It houses about 100 vintage cars of all types in a 60,000-square-foot (5,600 m 2) facility with constantly rotating collection. [1] The museum displays rare cars and ones owned by famous people. [2]

The science museum began in December 1990 as a 1,000-square-foot (93 m 2) room within the Florida West Coast Symphony building under the name Gulf Coast World of Science (GCWS). The route came into existence in the 1920s when the route's first bridge to Manasota Key was built. The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers convinced Sarasota County to build the first bridge since they were developing the north end of Manasota Key. [35] The route was designated SR 774 after the 1945 Florida state road renumbering. [7]
