The Maltz Performing Arts Center, officially the Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center, is a 1200-seat historic arts and religious venue on the campus of Case Western Reserve University, located at 1855 Ansel Road, in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States.
In 2001, the Palm Beach Playhouse Inc. was formed as a non-profit organization, who purchased the building. After a full renovation, the theatre was reopened as the Maltz Jupiter Theatre in February, 2004, with a 554 seat playhouse. The Maltz Opera House is a theater in Alpena, Michigan, named after Alpena banker George L. Maltz. The Maltz is currently under restoration to its 1930s-era appearance, and is expected to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The original Maltz Opera House opened on November 11, 1879, and burned down in 1925. [1]
