John Lincoln Clem (nicknamed Johnny Shiloh; August 13, 1851 – May 13, 1937) was an American general officer who served as a drummer boy in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He gained fame for his bravery on the battlefield, becoming the youngest noncommissioned officer in the history of the United States Army at the age of 12.

Johnny Shiloh is a 1963 television film that originally aired as two episodes of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color based on the life of John Clem, who was called "Johnny Shiloh". The title song, heard at the beginning of each episode was written by Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman .

The characters in Shiloh are believable and well developed. Marty is a growing, curious, sensitive boy. Marty’s mother is compassionate and understanding, particularly when she discovers Shiloh. Ma has been suspicious because of Marty’s eating behavior and the disinterest that he has shown in spending time with his best friend, David Howard.

The Little Drummer Boy is a stop motion television special produced by Rankin/Bass Productions, based on the song of the same name. It was first televised in Canada on December 19, 1968, on the CTV Television Network, followed four days later by its American nationwide telecast on NBC. A sequel was broadcast in 1976. [1]
