Quest 3 just released 4 months ago. You can expect a new Quest Pro next year to compete against the AVP and the Samsung Headset. A Quest 4 won't drop until 2026. The Pico 4 has bad standalone content, but its lenses and FOV feels way more immersive than the Quest 3. It basically comes with an elite strap, has a longer battery life. Pico 4 also has much better passthrough with no distortions, the Quest 3 passthrough sucks.
The Quest 3 will probably never exceed 3 Gbps anyway, so any USB 3 cable suitable for 5 Gbps or higher would be sufficient. What DOES matter is that it is a high quality cable. There are many cables marketed as USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, USB 4, Thunderbolt 4 and whatnot that are cheap cables that might not even work better than a cheap USB 2 or USB 3 cable.
