Nacho and Lalo arrive at Lalo's fortified hacienda in Chihuahua, which Mike reports to Gus. Gus says he has sent gunmen to kill Lalo and that Nacho may be able to help. Lalo introduces Nacho to his family and friends, and Nacho receives a call instructing him to leave Lalo's back gate open at 3 am.
Nacho flees as assassins enter and kill most of Lalo's family and guards. Lalo kills all but one assassin, then forces the survivor to call the middleman who arranged the attack call and report that Lalo was killed. Lalo realizes Nacho is missing and angrily strides away from his house.
He also broke free and grabbed a gun, holding Juan Bolsa hostage… before putting a bullet in his own head, closing the book on one of Better Call Saul‘s most compelling characters.
