After killing Sentinel, D-16 announces his new rule over Cybertron after taking Megatronous' cog inside Sentinel, renaming himself "Megatron" and commands the High Guard to destroy Iacon. D-16 fought against Elita-1 and B-127, and before he could kill them, Orion Pax is resurrected as "Optimus Prime" and confronts him.
Meanwhile, Carly convinces Megatron that he will be replaced by Sentinel as the leader of the Decepticons. While fighting, Sentinel is about to kill Optimus before he is incapacitated by Megatron, who is determined to regain his leadership. Optimus kills Megatron after refusing his offer to have a truce and executes Sentinel for his betrayal.
Orion is a mining robot without a Transformation Cog, and along with his best friend D-16, they work in the Energon mines. They secretly enter a race organized by Cybertron's leader, Sentinel Prime, but lose. While Sentinel is impressed by their stunt, a jealous racer drags them to garbage incineration, where they meet the eccentric B-127.
In the face of this rebellion and Sentinel's death, the High Guard are led by D-16, now renamed Megatron, who orders them to destroy all Iacon. During their clash, Megatron fatally shoots Bumblebee, but the scout is revived by the Omega Lock's Cyber Matter and kills Megatron, regaining his voice.
Optimus defeats Megatron while Bumblebee seemingly kills Quintessa. With both worlds saved but now attached, the Autobots leave Earth to rebuild Cybertron. Meanwhile, Quintessa, who has survived, disguises herself as a human and approaches a group of scientists inspecting one of Unicron's horns and offers them a way to destroy him.
